- Rob and Sam -
Sam and Rob were married at a sweet little venue near Frick Park, Point Breezeway. I had never photographed an event here before and it was a lovely combination of cozy, elegant and friendly - just like Rob and Sam.
Despite the steady rain and chilly temperature there was a warmth to this wedding that was felt by everyone, emanating from Rob and Sam. Everyone seemed to perfect the ability to run from shelter to awning to inside the venue with only a few drops of rain landing on them, but no one seemed to care. I've been to other events where the weather had an impact on the day, and it struck me that this wasn't an issue at this event because everyone was so genuinely happy to be there. It could have snowed and the smiles and conversations would have gone on, uninterrupted. That says something about Rob and Sam and the people in their lives. They know what matters most - and it's love and connection, which seemed to be the theme of this sunny day.
Some favorite moments from this event: Having some time to photograph Rob and Sam at nearby Frick Park - so perfectly timed before the steady rain began. Witnessing the partnership between this lovely couple, who seemed to have an understanding of the other that usually comes after an entire lifetime of being together. Going from room to room and awning to awning and hearing conversations and laughter absolutely everywhere I went. Watching Sam with his baby nephew, and knowing that theirs was a special relationship that would grow as they grew. Amazing food and cookies in every room. Elegant and unique decor with words, books and photographs as the theme. Taking time at the end of the day with Rob and Sam as we took just a few more photos of this newly married and very happy couple. And did I mention the amazing food and cookies in every room? :)
Thank you for entrusting this special day to my care, Rob and Sam. I wish you the wonderful lifetime that awaits you.
